PT Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI) came back to the 2nd GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicles Expo (GIICOMVEC) which was held from 5 to 8 March 2020 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan. GIICOMVEC is a Business-to-Business (B2B) exhibition that specifically expose commercial vehicles and their supporting industries. GIICOMVEC is held biyearly where its first exhibition was held in 2018. At this second GIICOMVEC, DCVI carried the theme of "INdonesia IN-motion" as a part of the celebration of the 50 years of success Mercedes-Benz in Indonesia.

The Robust Line-Ups

DCVI also introduced their two new features in 2020; the bogie suspension for rigid model and the hub-reduction for 6x4 off-road model, which were developed especially for Indonesian customers’ need. As for the bus, DCVI in partnership with local bus body builder showcased the OH 1626 M/T with the newest version of Suite Class body by Laksana and Avante H8 body by Tentrem.

Aside from products display, DCVI also gave unforgettable experience to the visitors. From trucks and bus simulator that everyone could try, seminar on active - passive safety system on trucks and buses with prominent experts in the commercial vehicle industry, and sharing sessions about the unique features and benefit of different vehicles.

Shaping the Change

For future products, DCVI is about to introduce a new product that received various awards from various countries as the International Truck of the Year 2020, the new Mercedes-Benz Actros. The award-winning truck is equipped with the main advanced features of electronic camera-based rear-view mirror system (MirrorCam) and the state-of-the-art emergency braking assistance system, Active Brake Assist 5. The trucks are also equipped with other advanced features such as Active Drive Assist, Predictive Powertrain Control and Digital Multimedia Dashboard.
