An Actros like no other: When a truck becomes a canvas

Together with the artist Sven Liesy, Mercedes‑Benz Trucks Germany and the Commercial Vehicle Center Hannover have transformed an Actros L ProCabin into a true one-of-a-kind. Instead of a classic design, the long-haul truck now sports a colourful work of art – and is guaranteed to attract everyone's attention.

The Actros L stands for efficiency, comfort and cutting-edge technology. With this special Art Edition something else is added: a distinctive appearance.

Over several weeks, Sven Liesy designed the entire ProCabin in his characteristic neo-expressionist style. With bold colours, dynamic forms and many small details a truck was created that shows that commercial vehicle technology and creativity can complement each other perfectly.  

Anyone who follows the making-of will quickly realise: there is a lot of passion behind the project. From an idea, step by step a rolling work of art was created.

For Sven Liesy, art is far more than mere design:

"Art is more than a medium – it is life, colour, expression and boundless imagination."

This very motto is also reflected in the finished truck. Whether in the yard, at the rest area or on the motorway – this Actros is guaranteed to be memorable.
