    Off-road trips

    Expedition vehicle for the discerning.

The use of high-quality materials and components is particularly close to the hearts of the engineers and mechanics of Bocklet Fahrzeugbau, according to their own statement. That is why the Unimog, with its legendary off-road capability, serves as the perfect basis for the motorhome specialists' individual expedition vehicles. This was also the case with the Bocklet Dakar U690 model, which was presented at the Abenteuer & Allrad 2018 fair.

Bocklet Fahrzeugbau counts on off-road specialist Unimog.

Travelling the world in all directions.

The Bocklet Dakar U690 is based on the highly off-road-capable Unimog U 4023. The chassis with a wheelbase of 3,850 mm is made for extreme tours off paved roads. With an overall length of 6.87 m and a width of 2.34 m, the Dakar U690 is comparatively compact for a long-distance motorhome. The all-wheel drive is powered by a modern and powerful diesel engine with 170 kW (231 hp). Tank and auxiliary tank together hold 300 l of fuel, enough even for longer distances.

Each axle of the Unimog comes standard with a separate differential lock. This means that even extreme inclines and driving through scree and deep mud pose no obstacles for modern adventurers. The advantage: ordinary roads can also be driven easily and quickly with the Unimog. Using the tyre pressure control system, the driver simply adapts the tyre pressure to the current ground conditions. The comfort seats ensure comfortable travel even on long journeys. And when manoeuvring gets tight, the reversing camera mounted on the body provides a clear view to the rear.

A Mercedes-Benz Unimog is driving along a field track, surrounded by tall grasses. The vehicle is equipped with an attachment for camping equipment and has additional headlamps. At home off-road, fast on the road: the Unimog U 4023 as a motorhome from Bocklet Fahrzeugbau.

    Comfortable living and sleeping. Everywhere.

The well-thought-out construction from Bocklet means even long trips in extreme climatic conditions are not a torture: the cold bridge-free sandwich construction is well insulated and features diesel- and gas-powered warm air heating. Internal tanks can be filled with up to 220 litres of fresh water. The waste water from the double sink and shower is stored in a separate tank. Solar panels combined with a powerful lithium-ion battery provide sufficient power for the integrated refrigerator, power outlets and the LED lighting. Power consumption is always in view thanks to the practical control panel.

The entire design of the living area, which is connected to the cab via a hatch, is geared towards practical use and no-frills comfort. The functional furniture offers ample storage while still providing enough space for living, dining and sleeping. A roof hatch lets in plenty of light and allows easy ventilation. Hungry adventurers will appreciate the generous kitchenette with a two-burner stove.

    Develop individual solutions.

Since its founding in 1984, building high-quality, safe and robust long-distance motorhomes has been the mission of Bocklet Fahrzeugbau. In addition to cooperating with competent vehicle manufacturers, the family-owned company from Koblenz places great importance on close contact with customers – from planning to service. After all, every motorhome has different requirements in terms of design and equipment. With great attention to detail, expedition vehicles built to the latest technical standards are created in collaboration with partners such as Mercedes-Benz, perfectly tailored to the off-road enthusiast.
