    Off-road trips

    Endless adventure.

An absolute must for adventure seekers: For everyone who loves exploring the world off the beaten track, Hellgeth engineering has designed the Unimog TenereX, a highly off‑road-capable motorhome. The basis for this mobile home is the Unimog U 4023, which, straight from the factory, is distinguished by maximum reliability, robustness and efficiency. With a permissible gross weight of under 7.5 t, the TenereX from Hellgeth is particularly light on the move.

The Unimog TenereX from Hellgeth combines absolute mobility with comfort.

    Innovation driven by passion.

The Unimog TenereX is the latest development from Hellgeth engineering, the specialist for special vehicle solutions and a trusted Unimog partner. In the field of highly off-road-capable motorhomes and robust expedition vehicles, Jürgen and Andreas Hellgeth are a well-established presence. Their mission is to build off-road vehicles that meet the highest standards and the most individual customer requirements.

The premise of the TenereX: a compact expedition vehicle that offers the highest possible off-road capability without sacrificing comfort. To achieve this requires a high level of innovation, attention to detail and craftsmanship. Only by fine-tuning even the smallest technological nuances can such a vehicle offer the ultimate freedom that globetrotters want.

Ready for departure and made in Germany.

New for 2024 are three highlights of the adventure vehicles: the quality of the materials used in the furniture construction and interior fittings has been further improved, and all bodies are now manufactured 100% in Germany. In theory, the packed suitcases could even be included at handover: Hellgeth now delivers its TenereX vehicles "turnkey" – the complete vehicle is ready to travel when it leaves the yard in Wurzbach.

    Ready to explore.

Adventurers know: with the Unimog, the fun really begins where paved roads end. That's why the extreme off-road Unimog series are often the first choice when it comes to off-road travel. The off-road capability and the variety of body options of this off-road specialist stand out where others can't go. Straight from the factory, the extreme off-road Unimog comes with a wide range of features that make it a reliable travel companion.

    Interior values.

The equipment of the TenereX box body is designed for independence, practicality and high quality. Although the interior has been conceived to be as light as possible, it offers all the comfort you would expect from a motorhome – from the generous kitchen with induction hob and 85‑liter compressor refrigerator to the separate bathroom with shower and separating toilet. In addition, the fresh- and service-water tanks and the solar panels of the Unimog TenereX make a lasting impression. Of course, the Unimog's off-road capability is in no way impaired by this.

    Far out there.

The name of the Unimog TenereX is derived from “Ténéré” — the word that in the Tuareg language means “land out there”. Wherever that land may be: the Unimog is the perfect travel companion.

Thanks to its space-saving, high-quality fittings, the TenereX is a real marvel of space efficiency. Space is needed too, because after an exciting and strenuous day even seasoned globetrotters need a break. As is well known, one recovers best alone in nature and far from civilisation.
