In times of the pandemic, enquiries to the Unimog general distributor, which has stood for expertise and reliability for 70 years, are on the rise. After all, those who bring their own holiday home with them are more independent on the road. And what vehicle promises more freedom than the highly off-road-capable Unimog?
The Unimog is well known as an all-rounder. However, this not only refers to its use as a commercial vehicle, but also to travelling with the "Mog". With its driving comfort and ease of operation, this highly off-road-capable workhorse is well known and popular among off-road fans. It is not for nothing that the Unimog U 4023 by RKF-Bleses was nominated for this year's Off-Road Award in the "Touring Vehicles" category.
With its portal axles, differential locks and the extremely torsionally flexible frame, the Unimog U 4023 can clear almost any obstacle in off-road terrain. River crossings are no problem for it either, thanks to a fording capability of 1.2 m. Whether sand, mud or forest floor: the optional tyre pressure control system, available ex works, adapts to all conditions so that travellers never get stuck.
Acquiring the demonstration vehicle was a logical step for RKF-Bleses. "An experience vehicle is best experienced," says Jörg Krause. "Since the Unimog has been available for viewing, it has met with consistently positive reactions. It really is an impressive truck and is known for inspiring wanderlust."

For Jörg Krause, the Unimog is above all the perfect companion for off‑road expeditions because of its adaptability: "It hasn't earned its reputation as an all‑rounder for nothing. Not least, the excellent driving and operating comfort is decisive for us. We want to pass these qualities on to the customer — wherever they may lead."
At RKF‑Bleses, therefore, almost no customer request goes unfulfilled. Professional advice and the implementation of the expedition vehicle's cabin are standard at the Unimog general agency in North Rhine‑Westphalia. Various technical modifications are already possible from the factory. Thanks to close cooperation with the conversion partners, there are also no limits to further individual requests.
With its stability and torsional rigidity, the specially manufactured cabin of the expedition vehicle withstands even the harshest conditions. The passage from the living compartment to the driver's cab is effortless thanks to two sliding doors. The 7-step telescopic ladder also makes exiting the vehicle extremely comfortable.
