Municipal & waste disposal
Eco as a system
With four Mercedes-Benz eActros 300, Zellinger GmbH is revolutionizing waste logistics. As the first waste disposal company in Upper Austria, the company relies on fully electric waste disposal vehicles powered by self-generated green electricity from its own biogas plant – a step that sets new ecological and economic standards.
Zellinger advances environmentally friendly waste disposal in Austria – with the eActros 300
Update instead of waste.
The four new Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 at Zellinger GmbH are not just an expansion of the fleet. With the powerful electric quartet, the Austrians are making a statement for the future of waste-management logistics across the country.
Managing director Jürgen Humer-Zellinger calls it a "consistent step towards decarbonisation", which is part of a comprehensive sustainability strategy the company has been pursuing for some time.
Zellinger can also boast a genuine pioneering achievement when it comes to the ecological circular economy: the company from Walding is the first waste-disposal company in Upper Austria to power its electric vehicles with self-generated electricity from biogenic waste.
Powerhouse with endurance.
“We consciously invest in technology that protects and supports people and the environment.”
From the road, for the road.
The refuse collector bodies from Stummer and the eActros 300 work hand in hand in daily operations, reports Jürgen Humer-Zellinger. Thanks to the company’s own biogas plant in Feldkirchen/Herzogsdorf, both obtain 100% of their energy from what they collect: waste. "This allows us to ensure that the entire disposal process is sustainable and environmentally friendly," explains the managing director.
Alongside the vehicles, Zellinger is also investing in the charging infrastructure. The project was supported by the federal government's e-mobility funding and provides the basis for the future expansion of the electric fleet.

Safer for people and the environment.
In addition to the ecological orientation of the new eActros fleet, Zellinger also relies on high standards for safety. All vehicles are equipped with modern assistance systems, which include, among others, a turn assist, emergency braking assistants and rear-view cameras.
This technology not only supports the driver, but also protects pedestrians and cyclists in the urban environment, making the eActros an all-round safe partner for waste disposal logistics.
“Top‑level safety features are not an extra for us, but a clear mark of Zellinger quality,” emphasizes Jürgen Humer-Zellinger. “We consciously invest in technology that protects and supports people and the environment.”
