Lücke is the managing director of HIM – Everyday Help. The company employs gardeners, landscapers, interior designers, roofers and tilers. "We are a real all-round company when it comes to renovation or garden and landscape design." The Unimog U 5023 really makes work easier for the HIM team.

The special feature: The vehicle (3,600 mm wheelbase) is the first of its kind to be equipped with a Palfinger hook-lift system. This allows operators to swap skip bodies, containers or flatbeds at the push of a button as needed. And with a payload of 6.5 tonnes, the new U 5023 can shoulder a lot of weight. Construction rubble, building materials, bulk goods, timber — every day the Unimog moves a different load from A to B.

At the front, the Maxwald Bergewinde is already clearly visible from a distance; it has a pulling force of 6.8 t with its 30 m long steel cable. "That means we can recover ourselves in an emergency and even pull a tree out of the forest in winter," says Wolfgang Lücke.

He has even once rescued an employee from a difficult situation when he had got the wheel loader stuck. To make the vehicle even more efficient in its operations, Lücke has attached a Humbaur three-way tipper to the rear.

And this combination often heads fully loaded to the construction sites: excavators and wheel loaders on the trailer, a 2.7-tonne mini-excavator on the flatbed container on the Palfinger hook. That brings delight to the trained management consultant: "The Unimog is fast, manoeuvrable, has an immense payload and, together with the trailer, is an unbeatable combination in terms of cost-effectiveness." And so that his favourite work machine doesn't run out of steam so quickly, he ordered the large 240-litre diesel tank. Michael Ballack would probably not care about that at all.
