Reduced fuel consumption

The lower your fuel consumption, the lower your overall costs. With this in mind, we have given our all to reduce fuel consumption further still on the new Arocs.

The Euro VI engines boast minimised fuel consumption. Fuel-saving drive programs, intelligent auxiliary consumers and the sophisticated aerodynamics also contribute to minimise fuel consumption. The enhanced Predictive Powertrain Control system additionally supports an efficient, fuel-minimising driving style on board the Arocs. In conjunction with the Multimedia Cockpits, the new MirrorCam1 provides a further improvement in aerodynamics. This results in additional fuel efficiencies.

A broad selection of application specific transmissions also contributes to minimising fuel consumption. Short shift times and economical auxiliary consumers such as on-demand compressed air control and the power steering pump additionally help to reduce fuel consumption.

The economical Euro VI engines for the Arocs are available in four displacement classes and with 18 power output ratings, from 175 kW (238 hp) to 460 kW (625 hp).

The design of the Arocs has been optimised down to the finest details in the interests of reduced drag. From the bumper via the corner panelling to the roof – everything contributes to a low level of aerodynamic drag and thus to minimised fuel consumption. In addition, MirrorCam1 installed in conjunction with the Multimedia Cockpits can minimise the fuel consumption of the Arocs further still. Optionally available aerodynamic body parts can further minimise fuel consumption. The optionally available tyre pressure monitoring system contributes to reduced rolling resistance, thereby also contributing to minimised fuel consumption.
