When large logistics companies become pioneers in zero‑emission transport solutions, this first of all garners applause and then raises the question: “How do they do that?” Four years ago, Dachser started with a sustainability concept that really takes corporate responsibility seriously: DACHSER Emission‑Free Delivery combines classic transport with the eActros to onward transport with eBikes in the city centre, which cover the last mile emission‑free. The depot of the partner courier Velocarrier has Dachser e‑cargo bikes, which then actually transport a pallet weighing up to 250 kilograms through Stuttgart city centre. Dachser’s sustainability project therefore saves a lot of CO2 – without contributing to the noise level from urban delivery traffic. Important for the efficiency of the project is the range of the eActros, which is reliably sufficient for a full day’s driving. True to the motto of colleague Henry Ford: “Quality means doing it right when no one is looking”, Dachser is now expanding the concept in other European metropolitan areas. With conviction, without fuss. Hats off!

Here in Stuttgart, Dachser operates emission‑free – and is particularly considerate in the four‑square‑kilometre central zone with e‑cargo bikes.
